After a break of more than two months the first flight from Tel Aviv was welcomed in Salzburg last week
Due to the geopolitical situation and the resulting crisis in the Middle East, the direct flight from Tel Aviv to Salzburg—as well as the Dubai route—has been suspended since the end of February.
On Monday, a Sun D’Or flight landed in Salzburg for the first time since then, bringing Israeli tourists to the city of Mozart. This flight connection plays a particularly important role for inbound tourism.
The airlines Sun D’Or and EL AL are now operating the route on Mondays and Fridays. Starting July 1, the route will also be offered on Wednesdays. Israir is also expected to resume the Salzburg-Tel Aviv connection at the end of May.
The resumption of flydubai flights from Dubai to Salzburg is also planned for the end of June.
