Dubai–Salzburg flights resume from 27 June
Since Saturday, 27 June 2026, flydubai has resumed its direct service between Salzburg and Dubai. The route had been temporarily suspended due to the crisis in the Middle East.
Recent developments in the region indicate a significant stabilisation of the situation. Dubai remains a safe, cosmopolitan and fully accessible destination, as well as one of the world's leading international aviation hubs.
The Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (BMEIA) has lowered the travel security level for a number of countries in the Middle East (Countries A–Z – BMEIA – Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs). Nevertheless, despite the current ceasefire and the agreement between the United States and Iran, the situation may change at short notice. Travellers are therefore advised to register their trip prior to departure at auslandsregistrierung.bmeia.gv.at.
Salzburg Airport is delighted to once again offer passengers from the region a fast and convenient connection to Dubai. In addition, many travellers use Dubai as a transfer hub for onward journeys to destinations across the Middle East, Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa.
The resumption of the route also strengthens inbound tourism. Visitors from the United Arab Emirates particularly value the Salzburg region as a summer destination, contributing to the continued internationalisation of the region's tourism industry.
The route is operated up to three times per week.
Pristina Service Extended into the Winter Season
There is more good news for the upcoming winter schedule. Due to strong demand, the Salzburg–Pristina route will be extended into the winter season and will now operate year-round.
Since early April, the route has been served twice weekly by GP Aviation and is particularly popular with the large Kosovar community living in the region.
The positive performance of the route has prompted the airline to extend the service to the winter schedule for the first time, making Pristina a year-round destination from Salzburg.
