The question posed by the creative minds of the theater community—have machines already taken over humanity?—runs through the entire grogram. We all know that our everyday lives are shaped by constant confrontation with machines, be they cars, computers, or simply the ubiquitous cell phone, which with its countless functions has become an indispensable companion, recently enhanced by sophisticated adaptive artificial intelligence programs. The polarity between autonomous personality and machine-controlled humans has been taken up by the Landestheater team as an artistic field of research for the coming season.
