Effective June 1, 2026, Isabella Laimer will assume the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and thus take charge of the Sales & Aviation division at Salzburg Airport. The former Deputy Division Head and Head of the Aviation Sales & Marketing Department prevailed in a comprehensive selection process against a large number of highly qualified national and international candidates. “This is clear proof of how highly our airport is regarded as an attractive employer. Over the past two weeks, we invited six promising candidates to interviews, and Isabella Laimer successfully impressed the selection committee. As of June 1, 2026, she will take the reins of the Sales & Aviation division,” says Airport Managing Director Bettina Ganghofer, expressing her delight at the new appointment to the division leadership.
Isabella Laimer has worked at Salzburg Airport for many years in various roles and has extensive experience in the aviation sector as well as in sales and marketing. She has an excellent network within the industry and is highly regarded both internally and externally. “Isabella Laimer impressed during the selection process with her professional expertise, market knowledge, and clear strategic vision. She has known the airport, the industry, and our partners for many years—a significant advantage in a highly competitive environment,” said Managing Director Bettina Ganghofer. With this appointment, Salzburg Airport is focusing on continuity, expertise, and strong internal development—a clear advantage in a challenging market environment marked by intense competition. Most recently, as Head of Aviation Sales & Marketing and Deputy Division Manager, Isabella Laimer was responsible for the further development of the route portfolio and key sales initiatives.
In her interim role as Head of Sales & Aviation, she also assumed overall responsibility for key commercial and operational areas of the airport. “I am very pleased to be taking charge of the Sales & Aviation division going forward and to play an active role in shaping the future development of this unique location. Together with the team, I aim to position the airport as a strong partner in international air traffic and leverage growth potential in both aviation and non-aviation business. At the same time, we will further strengthen the synergy across all departments to ensure our long-term competitiveness,” said the new Head of Sales & Aviation, Isabella Laimer.
Isabella Laimer, born in 1989 in the Salzkammergut region, earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. In 2013, she began her professional career at Salzburg Airport, where she held various positions in marketing and sales. Since 2021, she has served as Deputy Head of Sales & Aviation. Laimer lives in Strobl, has deep roots in the region, and, in addition to her work at the airport, is actively involved in various tourism and business organizations.
