Regional event at the airport
On May 7, Aviation Industry Austria’s regional event, the Aviation Experts Forum, will take place at Salzburg Airport. Under the title “An Airport as an Interface Between Culture, Sports, and Business – For 100 Years,” high-profile representatives from the fields of culture and tourism, as well as leaders of the Austrian (regional) aviation industry, will engage in discussion.
For 100 years, Salzburg Airport, as a gateway to the world, has helped establish Salzburg as a leading global cultural and tourism destination. However, even Austria’s second-largest commercial airport must face and prevail in the competition for airlines, against other destinations, and amid constantly changing economic conditions.
What it takes to achieve this and who can contribute to it are the central questions of the Salzburg Aviation 2026 Expert Forum.
We are pleased to welcome the following experts from the fields of culture, tourism, and aviation to our airport:
Elisabeth Zehetner, State Secretary for Energy, Startups, and Tourism
Julian Jäger, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG and President of Aviation Industry Austria
Bettina Ganghofer, CEO of Salzburg Airport
Lukas Crepaz, Commercial Director of the Salzburg Festival
Edi Wolfensberger, COO of Eurowings
Stephan Erler, Country Manager for Germany & Switzerland at EasyJet
Klaus Grabler, Tourism Researcher
