Passengers and visitors to the airport are informed via billboards prior to entering the terminal. At critical spots in the terminal building, various information media are used to indicate the Covid-19 hygiene and distancing rules.
We kindly ask you to keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to both other passengers and our employees. To make this easier for your, floor markings have been applied – especially in the lifts and the queuing areas (check-in, automated boarding pass control, baggage claim).
Although we have adapted our infrastructure and processes at the airport in order to facilitate keeping a physical distance, there may be times, when you experience a gathering of people, which may make it difficult to keep the distancing rules of 1.5 meters.
We ask you to wear your mouth-nose protection in all indoor areas. Wearing mouth-nose protection is also required in passenger busses, airport vehicles and on the aircraft. We kindly ask you to bring your own mouth-nose protection (except for children under 6 years of age as well as persons who must not wear a mouth-nose protection for health reasons).
Our staff is required to wear a mouth-nose protection in the terminal, except for areas, where there is a mechanical protection (f.e. plexiglass panel) available at check-in-desks, information desks or the gates.
In addition to various billboards and displays, we make regular announcements to inform our passengers and visitors about the required rules of conduct. You will also find information in front of the entrances to the terminal as well as on our social media channels.
All work places, work equipment as well as the terminal are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis. The handles in our passenger busses are disinfected after each use. You will find disinfectant dispensers in the terminal in the check-in area as well as right after the security control. In order to be able to disinfect the containers for your hand luggage, you will find disinfecting tissues at the security lanes.
To rule out a corona infection, tests for symptom-free people are possible at Salzburg Airport. The Covid-19 test station is located in the check-in hall and is accessible to both arriving passengers and people who want to be tested. In the case of departing people, it is recommended to take the test two days before the start of the journey so that the result is available in good time. The price of a PCR test is €150.
