How to get to the airport?

  • From the A1 motorway take the exit “Flughafen”
  • From the city centre, you can drive from the Neutor to Maxglaner Hauptstrasse and Innsbrucker Bundesstraße (B1) to the Salzburg airport
Driving to the airport from Bavaria (without having to buy an Austrian motorway sticker)
  • From Bad Reichenhall:
    “Kleiner Walserberg” border crossing - Bundesstrasse 1 - Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse (B1) to the airport 
  • From Freilassing: 
    “Freilassing” border crossing - Münchner Bundesstrasse - Ignaz Harrer Strasse - Rudolf Biebl Strasse (B1) - at the crossroads in front of the Landeskrankenhaus (hospital), signs labelled “Flughafen” will take you right on the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse (B1) all the way to the airport. 
  • From Burghausen/Ach, Passau, Laufen/Oberndorf: 
    Lamprechtshausener Bundesstrasse (B156) - Itzlinger Hauptstrasse - turn right on the Raiffeisenstrasse – Schillerstrasse - Andreas-Hofer-Strasse – Plainstrasse - Jahnstrasse - Haunspergstraße - St. Julien Straße (B1) - Rudolf Biebel Strasse (B1) - at the crossroads in front of the Landeskrankenhaus (hospital), signs labelled “Flughafen” will take you right on the Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse (B1) all the way to the airport.

Arrival by public bus

For bikers:
There are 2 covered bicycle parking spaces with charging facilities for e-bikes! One between the entrance to the parking 2 and the taxi lane in front of the departure terminal and another in front of the General Aviation "Herbert von Karajan Terminal" (administration building) on ​​the Innsbrucker Bundesstraße.
