The airport is located 4 km from the city centre an has its own motorway exit. It lies centrally on the A10 north-south and A1 east-west motorway junction.

There are many parking spaces to be found near the airport building. A short covered walkway leads from the multi storey car park to the terminal building. Every paking space is within a 5 min. walk of the terminal.
Public buses go at regular intervals (15-20 minutes) between Salzburg Airport and Salzburg main railway station. A taxi stand can be found both directly in front of Salzburg main railway station and the airport terminal.
The offices of the car rental companies can be found in the ground floor of the multi-storey car park. A short covered walkway leads from the terminal 1 to the multi storey car park building.
